Volks, Ok, I've reached that "Duh" stage in trying to remove my glove box from my 89 Westy. I need to get at the cigarette lighter to repair/replace it. Tried sticking my hand up from under and down through the ashtray. Big hands, won't work. So, it seemed like the logical plan was to remove the glove box. Except I can't figure out how and the Bentley is *no* help at all. It tips forward and is stopped by two plastic hooks at the top of the box that hook onto the metal dash. The lower pivot points will obviously allow easy removal once I get the hooks "unhooked". I tried bending them get them to slide past but I already started to see discoloration of the plastic caused by the fatigue of bending it. The only thing smart that I've done so far is stop before I broke something. Can anyone enlighten me? I'm sure its easy and I'll feel stupid later.....but I'll get over it!
