OK - due to popular demand (and the hope that my vanagon will make it home at lunch time) I will pull open the steering column and see which wire it is... The hope is because my oxs/batt light won't go off, and I am betting on a new alternator within the next few days :( Then I might as well do the springs and brakes while I am at it... <<sigh>> Then I have to build the sub-woofer box ((double sigh)) I guess re-wiring my Scirocco has jumped up in priority very quickly... --- "Michael J.
