One could argue the present configuration has worked for the last almost 20 years--but I mean barely. From what I can see the set up is stock--no aftermarket hoses. Maybe it was trouble on many early vanagons and that's why they went to the "84" configuration. I appreciate the information. Unfortuantely I'm strapped for time so I may just end up replacing what is stock for the early 83.5. But thanks again jeff |
