There's a special type of spray paint for plastics. It is flexible to reduce peeling and cracking. Handy to paint black grilles and waxed-over spoilers. Your local auto parts purveyor ought to have a few cans of black. And yes, they look great when done!

This may not be the "correct" way, but I simply sprayed mine with satin-black spray paint. Look great.
