Subject:      Stebro muffler compatibility

My Vanagon is currently at my mechanic's shop getting a new exhaust system
including the Stebro muffler I purchased several months back. I talked to
the mechanic today and he said that it appears the Stebro muffler was
designed to use a flat gasket (not the round donut gasket) in the connection
to the cat converter.


Did anyone else encounter this situation with the Stebro muffler?
