No, its not the silver socket... While tracking down vacuum leaks in my '85, I noticed an electrical plug mounted to the front (driver) side of the alternator. It is a male plug with 3 prongs in a triangle configuration; the housing itself looks like it would accomodate a round female plug. It looks similar to the idle stabilizer plugs if you've seen those. I'm curious, because it does not have anything plugged into it. Maybe some kind of CA emissions thingamabob? Thanks, John Haddad |
