Mark, thank you for your reply.  I considered R134a.  However, after looking
at the Sanden website, comments on the list, and other websites, I made the
choice for Freeze-12.  Since I was not present when conversion was done, I
am not sure of pressure readings.  Also, I am not sure that I am getting the
correct heat transfer across the evaporator coil.  I have found ice on one
of the lines from the compressor even with a hot engine compartment, so I
know that things are working well on that end.  I have not measured temps
out of the rearward facing registers.  Things may be cooler back there.
Main problem is that my van is out in the hot sun all day.  Then I have to
pick up my 2-year old from daycare.  This week, I have been keeping the
windows open during the day.  This gives me faster cool downs.
