Hi Ben,

I am planning to fabricate my own rear brake disc system, too.

I already have my rear hubs machined so that MB, Vanagon, and Audi discs fit onto the hub. But it seems that I can´t use the rear Audi C4 calipers, because they would sit to close to the wheel bearing housing. Every other caliper I tried was a front caliper, so no parking brake is supported. I don´t want a "drum in a rotor" system like Oettinger, BMW or Porsche. The cable of the handbrake is connected dircectly to the Audi caliper. Which caliper do you want to use?

Perhaps we could help each other in finding a good system... I also have an idea how to bolt the caliper onto the bearing housing, but the problem is the lack of space (small diameter of discs...)
