Hi all,

I was at my mechanic's the other day and while I was there there was
guy in an unbelievably rusty 80-82 westy.  The thing was really
clapped out, *BUT* I spied a westy front table and leg hiding behind
the driver's seat--nice and protected, and didn't see any obvious
damage from 8 feet away.

I've put a call in to see if the owner might want to part with it (to
offset repair costs and all...).  It was the cream melamine with
brown edging variety, which matches our interior.

Question:

If the thing is in reasonable shape, what would be a fair offer?  I
honestly don't have a feel for this, so any info would be helpful.
I'm in the Vancouver area, so please let me know if you're talking US
or Canadian dollars.
