My experience with this is that the poptop can't be used easily unless the roof box is empty, or packed with very light items. Otherwise you'll risk back injury trying to raise it, or poptop damage. You can probably get away with 100 lbs., but I wouldn't recommend exceeding that with a fake gutter mount system.
