Ahem, Just in case anybody gets any ideas, yes, there are a lot of Vanagons and Westies here in Portland. There are even junk yards with 'em and some good repair shops. BUT...it rains ALL the time. And there's no culture. And our police chief is from L.A. And losers are still cutting down all the trees. You might be able to get by the James G. Blain Society guard stationed at the border if you're driving a nice Westy, but believe me, you wouldn't be happy living here, believe me. Really, it's true. Really.

Scott's right though, if you're looking for a rust free (no salt on the roads, mild winters) vanagon for EXPORT into one of the other 49 states, there are many to be had. You can search the oregonian's classified at http://www.oregonlive.com/
