what I have is a baja bug with my-own trailing arms and vanagon bearing assemblies, axles and stubaxles, I had on there T3 hubs and 914 rotors before and (yes they needed machining to fit) what is interesting to the group is my experiances and parts trials.. I am not an engineer but quite handy with conversions and laws of physics. the van rear hubs needed to be turned, the audi 5000T rotors fit over the studs (same 5X112mm) need longer studs pressed in. I made a bolt on carrier plate for the caliper (subaru) as these are for the fronts and have parking brakes. I had a clearance problem with the suby calipers and audi front vented rotors ( I tried though) I am also running the Audi 5000T rims (these are FWD and have a big inset) I would like to make a kit for the larger vented rotors and chevy calipers but I have no chevy calipers to fit up.

I refered to it as a vanagon baja bug in joke and comparison as I am running the axles CV's and Bearing assmblies. My baja has the rear wheel track as the van.

Can you elaborate on the vehicle? You mentioned "76 baja bug" earlier on. Then you refer to it as "vanagon baja bug" later. What is it?

I have rear disc set-ups for swingaxle and IRS bug rears utilizing Type 3 hubs (no machining required). That's hardly gorund breaking. However, if you have a rear disc brake set-up on Vanagon suspension whether it be on a van or a (Type 1) Baja Bug that is definitely something of interest to many of us on this list.
