Careful on advising what is or what is not illegal MB, We don't KNOW whether what he did was illegal. Depending on what he TOLD her and other important information which we don't have from her account, he may well have committed fraud or theft by deception, or any number of illegal acts. Either of which can be criminal charges, to wit: a felony (punishable by imprisonment of over a year) and also be illegal by violating a right or a civil statute(s), which could lead to a successful civil case by Melissa against the wrongdoer. I believe she should seek legal counsel immediately in the jurisdiction. Fraud generally allows for additional damages (money) and if she wins she may be entitled to payment of all her attorney fees. The point is: we who are outraged over the incident can help her truly if we advise her to seek professional help NOW, in addition to the 'sefl-help' remedies available in the marketplace and court of public opinion. Just letting it go would not help her, and would not help any other poor unfortunate soul who wanders into Parts Place. Of course, my advice is purely friendly as a member of this community, and is based upon my complete and total belief in the truth of Melissa's incident.
