yeah, I had a BMW whose starter made a loud buzzing noise and this was at a gas station while I was getting gas so the mechanic came and wacked it with a wrench and .. end of problem. Of course then he got crabby and said something about money... like he lost the chance to ream me for nothing and he was sour about that... Used that trick more than once...

BUT, the next morning when I went to start it - nothing. I crawled under >there and gave it a few taps (wacks?) with the butt end of a screw driver >and >viola! again. That was the last time I had problems starting it. Don't know >if I >have great mechanical skills or just lucky.
