Rich--

Thanks for the support, I think. Further, I appreciate your thoughts about Wal-Mart and city planners...however, the issues are more complicated than just big-box stores and out-dated modes of development. If you want to learn more, start with the CNU page, and look into their links.

For more discussion, there are mail lists, just like this one. P-mail me and I'l point you in the right direction.

For the sake of this list, in the future, please p-mail me in regard to urbanism, my signature line, and that delicious Neiman-Marcus cookie recipe. "Pulpet" was one listee's misspelling of "puppet", I'm sure. I'm also renown professional sock-puppeteer with a busy schedule.

My Agenda: Stop Suburban Sprawl. My Methods: Revitalize older, highly-dense, urban towns. Champion mass/rapid transit and fast Internet service to these towns. Demand replacement of archaic, "separationist" zoning laws with neo-traditional dense/mixed use zoning. The Result: All Americans obtain superior living opportunities; sprawl is restrained; and dense, beautiful, interlinked towns become our children's inheritance. Find out more at http://www.cnu.org

Sounds like the Wal*Mart down the road from Bulley just had its grand opening and neither Andy nor Barney can figure out where to put the traffic light.

By the way, what the hell is a pulpet?

Rich MY Agenda: Mandate zero population growth and require all city planners to be castrati so that they cannot procreate.
