Subject: Westy Chair Reupolster?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I am having trouble extracting useful seat information from the archives. I do not have an arm rest problem or rotating base seats, or flip up models. I simply have a drivers capitan chair that is getting old & sad and I need to get it redone. I plan to take it to an auto interior place for a quote on reupolstering it. I expect this could get expensive as the cost for redoing my favorite lounge chair pretty much equaled the cost of a new one. Am I better off getting a decent used one than trying to have one redone? If redoing one is the best idea where do I get VW material or how do I specify something of equal quality?. Also I have not seen it in any catalog but it must exist, little metal strips that cover the chair tracks when the 5th seat is removed. Handy folks probably make their own but I want the interior to look original.

I have a Brown 85 Westy Frank Malinowski, Pasadena, CA
