Back ten or a dozen years ago, when Mexico had their peso devalued (no, I don't pretend to understand international economics), I happened to be in Nogales. They were practically giving away one peso coins. I think they were something like fifty to the dollar. I bought a medium sized bag of them and still use them as poker chips. They were way cheaper than plastic chips at Walmart, and they feel like real money!

I went back to get more a month later when they were really worthless, but there were no peso coins to be found; only freshly printed multi-denominational bills.
