Jenny,

I appreciate it when someone takes me by the hand and quietly says in my
ear, "Karl, if you do that you're a damned fool."  I don't think sex has
anything to do with it.  In at least the afore-mentioned instance, I sure
don't care whether it is a guy or a gal who bails me out and saves me from
my own thick-headedness.

I will say that (again sex being unimportant), I never care for the person
who tells me I'm a complete idiot by shouting it out so the world can hear!
