I just purchased an '85 adventurewagen, and though I think I know about most of the camping equipment, I'm sure there's more to learn. So, does anyone have any manuals from the adventurewagen conversions of similar model years? I'd be happy to pay for any photocopying and postage costs for someone who could make some copies.
Meanwhile, I have a question that you adventurewagen owners might be able to answer. The front board which folds over to support to the front part of the bed has become dettached from its hinge. I think this happened to the prior owner as well, and he screwed it back together and used some glue. Is there any way to make this repair a bit better? The holes for the screws in the wood have become pretty stripped by this time, but I suppose new holes could be made by sliding the board to one side or the other a bit. Alternatively, I thought of using some kind of bolt and nut setup if I drilled the holes all the way through the padded side of the board. As you might guess, I'm no carpenter, so any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks, David |
