Well, we hate to do it but I think my wife and I are going to put our Westy up for sale. With our first baby on the way we don't see ourselves using the Westy very much and we could really do to free up a parking space at our house. Any advice / or interest please email me directly. Here's some of the details: 87 Westy - all original. 4-speed, no a/c. 84k miles (or so) Silver w/white top. All camper equipment there - all in perfect shape (including all curtains, center carpet, tables, etc, etc). Van itself is in excellent shape - I have meticulously maintained / babied it. Extras include: Bentley, two extra wheels with snows, chains, roof rack, bra... VERY clean, very nice shape. Still on original head gaskets. Very new tires, very new brakes, new rear shocks, new ignition stuff (cap, rotor, wires). Synthetic oil since I've owned it - including in the gearbox. Coolant last changed in the spring. Lots of reciepts. The only minus point: some door dings. Beautiful van. Located in Sandy, Utah. $12k. What do you guys think? If there is a Utah lister who is interested I would very much like to see it go to a good VW home. Damian '87 Westy; '88 Quantum Syncro; '89 Cabriolet |
