'Morning Tom, Thanks for your AC/desert survival suggestions. The best one, rigging a shower curtain behind front seats, unfortunately won't do---I've got the so-called "modern" rear version AC. So much for that. I suspect that arrangement was designed by the same fellow responsible for the lap-sloping "what-not" tray on the vast expanse of useless dash. Now the Desert Bag! You have dislodged a wonderful childhood memory with that. My grandfather was a civil engineer, & rock hound, who spent much time in the Southern Arizona deserts. He always carried one. I remember the magic I felt as a child, sipping cool water from that rough hemp bag. Hope I can hunt one up! Anybody seen one for sale anywhere lately? Ciao, Phaedra '85 Westy-Wolf |
