Subject: disconnecting O2 sensor... bad?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

Had an 86 Westy idling/driving rough and running rich- knowledgable friend says "it's a bad O2- just disconnect the damn thing cause it's makin yer engine confused.." or something to that affect. I did it and... the engine runs great, normal in fact. So- my question to all wise listees is: What are the adverse affects of disconnecting the main plug of the O2 sensor wire.? Engine runs leaner and smoother now, but what about emissions, or frying something else...? Thanks a whole bunch...

ShawnZ- Hurricane Daniel so far is all puff...
