What the chip does is:

-remapps the timing curve -change the injector pulses timing and duration -starts out rich then leans the mixture to correct ratio (Stock VW starts out lean then enrichens) -eliminates the hesitations at @2400 to 2500 rpms -improves bottom end power -improves throttle responce- no delayed reaction -increases power with ratio rockers 10% or more if other modifications are made to the WBX engine.

The company that developed it had some engineers that worked on the orginal chip to help develop it 5 years ago.
