Oh I remember those too! The ones I used had a red and black printed picture
of a cowboy type guy drinking from the bag and I'm almost sure a camel!. The
brand name escapes me, "Camel", "Dromedary"???


The last ones I saw had red plastic "hardware" on it.

I really want to find one again, my only regret is that Vanagons don't have
fenders/wings to attach the bag to, making even a local trip look like an
expidition.


On a related subject, I use an US army surplus canvas bucket for hauling
water etc when Westy camping. Big green one, about 5 gal. It is, as she
says, a very good thing. I got it at "John's Army Surplus" store here in
Victoria (on View near Douglas).

They don't have any more US buckets, but do have (and I bought one
immediately I saw it) slimmer and smaller French army surplus canvas
buckets. Can$5.95 each.
