Dale..you do need a rebuild..at the same time you can put in a taller 4th gear for better freeway cruising... A rebuilt trans is $995 plus the 4th gear set and shipping...Labor is very dependant on the local economy...4 hrs or so is the usual around here...Weddle Ind can supply you with a 5 speed..(I can't)...for $1995 I think....Good Luck & holler if I can help.
