Terry--  I suppose since you are the transmission technician, I'd trust
your experience beyond my own.

I've never "seen the damage that these types of products do to the
internals of transmissions" because I am not a transmission technician. I
can't say I'd know what I was looking at, and what damage to attribute to
PTFE, and what was just normal wear. What does it look like - PTFE damage?
I'm, just a motorist who has used an apparently beneficial product on a
worn-out transmission.

What should someone do about bearing and gear whine?

I haven't inspected,a rear end that has run this stuff, so I am not
going to embellish on that.
However, if it will screw up the first two mentioned, I shutter to think
what it might do to a rear end.
You usually come up with some pretty good stuff, but I'm sorry to say,
not this time.
