Beckett, it is my understanding that the Vanagon was designed at its inception to use a water-cooled engine... Nothing wrong with air cooled though. I'm looking at buying a Westy sometime late next year, and Air vs. Water is a tossup for me. Beckett Cantrell (THX0980@aol.com) said on the date of 8/5/00 6:16 PM >David, you do understand that the Vanagon was air-cooled for three years from >its inseption, right. I think "...feeling ballsy coming to the Vanagon List >to ask about an air-cooled..." is a statement you might want to rephrase >after you get you're facts straight. And for what it is worth, with a bit of >re-engineering, the air-cooled Vanagon is a marvelous choice. >Yours, >Beckett
