hi folks, i sent 2 days ago a message who talk about changing transmission from 4 speed to 5 speed.(diesel vanagon) In the Bentley manual, there is 4 kind of transmission: 091 4 speed, 091/1 4 speed, 094 5 speed and Syncro/4wd. the page 2 of the manual show a table with motor and associated transmission and the page 34.1b show the specs and gear ratio of the 5 speed transmission for DIESEL engines. Volkswagen have made 5 speed transmission for diesel van only? Is it rare a diesel 5 speed transmission? Does exist 5 speed transmission for gasoline engines? can somebody tell me the truth about theses transmissions?? ;o) thanks a lot :o) Jérôme Grenon 82 diesel westy (djémobile) Montréal, Canada email : dje1er@icqmail.com
