There are three parts to the turntable. The round plate that with the adjuster, the steel plate that it rides on, and the bottom portion which is welded to the regular track.

1- Remove the first two components. 2- Cut spot welds on one of the sides of the track. 3- Lift cut side upwards. 4- Other side should just break off at the welds. 5- Alternative would be to cut that as well.

To install, you need to have that bottom plate welded to your Vanagon's tracks. Make sure you really want these. Once they are welded onto to your van, removing them can be difficult without damaging the original tracks. Oh yeah, elevates the seat about an inch from stock. Not necessarily desirable to height-challenged individuals.
