I spoke to my supplier who has the tank sitting in front of him and he says that, yes the tank will work on the air cooled Vanagon. The larger tank does have the indentation that is needed to allow the heater tube to fit. I have one of these larger tanks available right now for immediate shipping.- $695 To install it you need to cut the bracket to which the rear of the tank mounts and move it back several inches, then reweld it to the body. That is it. The longer tank straps come with the tank. For an aircooled or older van with the big filler tube you will have to get a newer plastic filler, which is smaller. I have a couple of those sitting around here and I would include it if you bought the tank (these are good used).

The final issue is shipping. I don't know how we would ship it to Canada without it costing a bunch. Is there any way we could ship it to a US location and then have you come down to pick it up? Shipping anywhere in the US would be around $75. Let me know if you are interested.
