"Relining" usually refers to a chemical coating that is applied to the inside of the tank. JC Whipme sells this stuff but I have heard mixed results with their brand. One of the more highly regarded products is available from Bill Hirsch Auto at http://hirschauto.com/prod01.htm#Gas%20Tank%20Sealer%20&%20Gas%20Tank%20Etch This product is popular with the antique truck crowd.

<snip> So what's "re-lining" a gas tank? Who does it? What does it cost? etc. I have doubts about my own gas tank ---- and I thought the only option was a new one.
