Hi Volks:

Yesterday, on the way back from "Victory Lanes Speedway" outside Winnipeg, a
cat ran into the path of the Westy, and I ran it over. Thump!

We were horrified - so I stopped and gathered up the dead animal - and took
it into the farmyard - that it had run from.

Time to face the music.

I knocked on the farmhouse door, and an elderly farmer opened the door.

I said, "Sir, I'm very sorry, but I ran over your cat a few minutes ago. I
couldn't stop in time. If it is all right with you, I would like to replace
it."

He looked down for a few seconds, and then looked up at me and said, "Well,
how good are you at catching mice?"
