Usually, with a few feet to roll back, I can make a "U" which faces me in
the right direction for a forward roll.   :)

This maneuver isn't advisable in traffic, however, especially if you're not
sure that you can complete the "U" and may wind up blocking both lanes of
traffic!!   :(
