I just did a radio exchange under the VW exchange program at the dealer and
after three attempts I finally got the right radio.  Dealer parts dept had
been very cooperative so far.  I have a AM/FM cassette VW Design by
Blaupunkt for VW (this is not the Heidelberg Radio that I think appeared in
many Vanagons from about 90 on).  The AM band works, the cassette works but
the FM band will not lock in a station.  It will search and scan the FM
band but never find a station to play.  The antenna wire is plugged in and
in the old radio the FM tuner did work.  The dealer has ordered another
radio, I'm just wondering if my antenna is bad?  Is there any way of
checking the antenna.
