Thanks for the short version of the story but your symptom could be several things. Recently my Syncro, which was running perfectly, had ignition coil failure. The engine ran poorly and cut out in a similar way to yours. You can quick check the ignition coil. Check the top of the coil on the underside. If there is a black "Goo" leaking from the coil interior, the coil is toast!
