Please reply to Tom Forhan, not me!

I can't get the driver's side door open on my '83.5 GL.

It seems to be stuck in the locked position. The key will turn some, but not enough to open it, and you cannot lift the interior lock fully either.

I pulled the door panel and indeed the locking mechanism is stuck. Sprayed a bunch of penetrating oil in, let it sit for a day, but it barely moves.

Clearly, if I could open the door I could remove the lock and repair or replace, I would be fine, but I can't open the door!

Any ideas?

Thanks
