SNIP "auxiliary batteries did not come stock on westies in the U.S."

At the risk of being overly picky, GL westies did not come with auxiliary batteries, regular Westfalia campers had them.

The battery under my drivers seat was a regular group 42 battery and I just replaced it with another group 42 battery. The old one had lasted 8 years. It powers my fridge for 7 hours on average, without recharging. I installed another lighter socket off of it and keep my inverter plugged into it and it alarms when battery level drops below 30%. I can either start the van and let it charge or plug the fridge into the dash lighter socket and use the primary battery.
