Subject: 89 syncro westy air conditioning blockage
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I'm a bit desperate. My 89 syncro westy is in the shop for air conditioning repair and the techies there are having a problem servicing the unit. Apparently there is a blockage in the system somewhere. In order to determine where, they say they need to find the high pressure service valve but can't seem to locate it. Is there one?

Their calls to local the vw repair shop that I use, the vw dealer here in the islands, and several other places have not helped. They were told that it's on the left side under a plastic cover, and the tech guy says it's not there.

The ac in that bus is great when it works, but when it doesn't it sure gets hot in there. Any ideas? If not, who can I e-amil, or call?

Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii!
