New shoes made by most manufacturers are thicker than the originals due to their expectation that the drum has worn down. You have two options:

1. Cut the drums (which should be done with every brake job) 2. If they still do not fit, file down the ends of the brake shoes - evenlly on both sides.

Hi Chris,

Have you opened the bleeder to allow the wheel cylinder to contract fully? Have you lubed the brake shoe/backing plate contact points to allow the shoes to move freely?

Regards, John
