I know someone on the list was looking for more information about BioDiesel powered Vanagons a few weeks back. For those who don't know, BioDiesel is made from used cooking grease, canola oil, etc... Today, the San Francisco Chronicle ran an article about two guy who drove a BioDiesel Vanagon from Massachusetts to California. FOR THE RECORD, my wife deserves ALL the credit for pointing this article out to me. We live south of Seattle, but my wife was in S.F. for the last couple of days and brought back the paper for me just for this article. The full text can be found at: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2000/08/09/MN85083.DTL If that doesn't work, go to www.sfgate.com and search for "Grease Guzzler". My apologies if the list already knew of this article. Peace...
