Hi Volks.....I have a question concerning the proper installation of Hella fog lights on my 83 d'sel westy. I have the VW dash switch but don't have instructions. The switch has three prongs on the back. One prong is marked with a "+" the other two aren't marked. Here is how I ran the wires and the end result was that I blew a fuse. * I connected the wire bringing power from the relay (supplied with the fog lights) to the prong marked "+". * I connected the wire that is marked "load" (in the directions that came with the lights) to the middle prong. * I connected the ground wire to the third prong. I turned the headlights on and everything was cool. Then I turned the fog lights on and I blew the driver side headlight's fuse. So I replaced the fuse, reversed the load and power supply wires on the switch and blew the same fuse again. Then it started to rain and I was out of fuses so I packed it in for the day. Any ideas/pointers on what I'm doing wrong with this? I pretty sure that both the fog lights and the accompanying relay are wired correctly (as I have the instructions that came with the lights and followed them closely). Thanks for your help!
