You probably have the infamous 'auto-stop' valve. If the body of the valve is made of brass (plated with chrome most likely) Euro-American RV has a rebuild kit for it, that will fix you right up. I think the address is www.deltasix.com , anyone correct me if that's wrong. If it is made of 'pot-metal', you'll need a new one. Cheaper to replace it with the older standard type fill valve available at the local RV store.
