Subject:      internet service (no V content)

Up until about two months ago my connection speed had been around 44K, up to
occasional 49K.  Almost never less than 31.2K.  Suddenly, after I had seen
workers at the station down the street from me installing optical cables, my
service dropped to either 24.6 or 28.8K.

Shortly thereafter, I received a circular in the mail advertising US West's
new ISDN connections.

Funny thing about that timing, eh?
