Seems to me that an inverter is going at things back-ackwords. I'm assuming that the normal mode of operation for the camera is DC (off a small rechargable) and what you are trying to do is charge the battery? What would make more sense (IMHO) is to find a DC charger for the make and model of the camera in question, and charge it off the battery circuit. Most manufacturers (Sony, Canon, etc) make such beasts, but rarely do you see them advertised, so its worth making a call to a good dealer or to the corp in question. It isn't too hard to rig something up, either, if you are electrically inclined.
