For those who feel the hatch struts are too strong,
did you consider
(re)replacing one of your two new ones with one of the
old ones, thus the
average
force would still be (possibly) enough to keep it up
but not so much as
you
have to hang on it to get it down? I thought of this
after I spent $$
on two
and realized probably one new one might do the job.
