well, i did the deed. i bought a 1983 vanagon with a 1.9 wasserboxer.
the motor is out and in 4 seperate milk crates. what a mess! itr
looks like the guy took it apart with a pair of pliers and a crescent
wrench. i only gave him 200.00 for a van withh 113000 miles, so i
guess i did ok. now the fun starts! im not sure if im going to put in another
wasserboxer. i may do a conversion. debating between a subaru conversion, or
a diesel or 4 cyl golf/jetta conversion.does anyone have any opinions on
these swaps?anyone have a cheap low milage 1.9 for sale?  so many
possibilities,so little cash..... i will keep yall posted on my progress-(or
lack thereof!!)
