How do you remove the pads without taking out the caliper? I'm talking about the little bolts which allows you to swing up your caliper if you only take out one. Is that what you're doing? The VW repair guide at my dealer says those suckers need to be replaced each time they are removed. There's a lot of thermal stress there. I know that the big ones holding the caliper carrier onto the spindles don't need to come out.

Ben PS: I reuse those tiny caliper bolts all the time. I don't necessarily practice what I preach nor do I always listen to VW.
