Bill,

I think Alan is referring to air shocks. These shocks can be pressurized to raise the vehicle. They are mounted in pairs, usually at the back of the vehicle. They also have an air fitting and are usually mounted with a crossover line to ensure even pressure. You can air them up with a regular air compressor.

Has anyone ever used these on a Vanagon? I am also considering a pair as a cheap fix for my Vanagon's saggy butt. ----- Original Message ----- From: Bill Davidson To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Sunday, August 13, 2000 5:17 PM Subject: Re: info on air shocks?

Shocks don't help the sag... It's old, tired springs that create the sag... Check out the spring thread over the past few weeks...

hi list, saw an ad today from the local parts place for air shocks, these were Gabriel " high jacker" shocks. I was wondering if these would help out my '85 westys sagging rear end on those heavy load weekends. any one have any experience with these? thanks Alan
