Hello fellow Listees,

I'm driving to Southern California to pick-up another Vanagon. It's an 85 automatic which runs but lacks power per the PO. I'm hoping it's something simple like a clogged cat or something. According to the PO, it does not smoke at all. Just won't drive up a hill. I figured that the worst it could be would be a bad tranny or possibly even an engine or both (I hope not). It was cheap enough and the color identical to one of my other vans that it could also make an ideal donor if things get too expensive.

If any of you Southern California listees want me to say "Hi Y'all", let me know. I'm leaving San Francisco on Wednesday and coming back Thursday. I'll be in a place called Moreno Valley Wednesday night but have Vanagon business in the LA area on both days.

Ben

PS: If any San Francisco listees need something small over there, let me know as well. I'm already driving down with a core motor for somebody then driving back with a vanload of parts.
