Dan......

I think the old addage "you get what you pay for" may want to be heeded here. I recently had my pickup painted and decided to save a few bucks. My neightbor showed me a couple of cars he had painted, or so he said. I bought the paint which cost me $200. Then he was only going to charge me $200 for the painting, but it ended up costing me an extra $200 (he said because it took longer than he thought). After I paid him he brought back the unused paint and I found out that there was at least half the paint leftover. No way he had done three coats. The effects of the paint job are seen everyday in the orange peel on one quarter panel. I got what I paid for; or maaybe a bit less. I do not think I'd have gotten a better paint job at Maaco, either. A $200 paint job from Maaco will not last over a couple of years, or at least that is my experience from a paint job they did for me several years ago. If they did such a great job, I'd have gone back to them last year when I painted the pickup. Next time, I'll go to a reputable body & paint shop, although I'll probly shop around a bit.

My two sense.......
